The intimate summer wedding of Martina and Raffaele
Martina and Raffaele entered my life almost by chance. An informal, spontaneous meeting that became the beginning of a shared journey. They are two voice actors, with demanding schedules and full lives, and together we chose their wedding date without pressure or haste. From that moment, the design of their intimate wedding reception began — conceived for a small number of carefully selected guests. People who truly mattered, to whom they wished to dedicate an experience that was elegant, heartfelt, and deeply personal. The concept unfolded gradually: “A Midsummer Afternoon”, a suspended atmosphere inspired by the great work of William Shakespeare. We began with a close reading of the text, studying its rhythm and suggestions in order to translate them into a visual and sensory language. To strengthen the project, I collaborated with a designer so that every detail would reinforce the centrality of the narrative. Step by step, everything took shape. The lunch was conceived as a seasonal summer menu with local flavors built around Cannonau, the groom’s beloved wine. Each course was carefully calibrated to respect its structure and character, creating a gastronomic story that was coherent, refined, and intentional. Music shaped and transformed the day. A five-piece live band set the rhythm during lunch, while for the dancing moment the ensemble expanded to eight musicians, with a thoughtfully curated dress code perfectly aligned with the romantic summer concept. The finale was theatrical. The wedding cake was presented before a bespoke backdrop featuring a reproduced page from the novel — a reminder of the original inspiration. The cake cutting and toast did not close a chapter; they opened the first page of Martina and Raffaele’s own novel — their personal story, unique and unforgettable.
